Safety and performance above all

SAFETY AND EFFICIENCY ABOVE ALL

Lighting in large outdoor work areas, especially areas where the most diverse types of naval operations take place, is a central issue, making it possible to carry out work uninterruptedly and always with maximum safety, crucial aspects, for example, in construction and maintenance operations, which always have very tight deadlines.

In addition to these challenges, and given that these infrastructures are usually located in environmental protection zones, other equally important aspects need to be taken into account, such as light pollution and the colour of the light emitted, always in compliance with applicable national and international legislation.

Our team has developed a set of solutions specially adapted to this type of use, complying with the highest technical standards.

Cutting-edge naval operations

Shipbuilding and maintenance operations, container operations and tourist operations take place in special large outdoor areas where people, machines and bulky loads move frantically and uninterruptedly, which is only possible with the use of artificial lighting. This lighting therefore ensures the necessary safety conditions without jeopardizing the surrounding ecosystem.

The factors that directly influence the results obtained are, in addition to illuminance and uniformity, colour temperature and glare.

CCT - Correlated Colour Temperature (Tcp)

The use of an appropriate colour of light contributes to increased safety and efficiency in the various operations carried out, key issues in areas of this type. Cooler colour temperatures should be favoured because they contribute to greater visual acuity and higher levels of attention and concentration. This is particularly important when there is permanent and intensive crossing of people and machines in the same spaces.

However, environmental impact issues must also be taken into account, and it is essential to control the maximum levels of blue light emitted, which means using warmer colour temperatures.

The best compromise is to use a neutral light colour.

GR - Glare Rating

GR is one of the determining factors for the safety of people and equipment in an outdoor environment, especially of this nature. High levels of glare affect working capacity, as well as causing enormous visual discomfort in people and, consequently, malaise, and can ultimately be incapacitating and lead to accidents and the inability to perform even the simplest tasks correctly.

For applications of this type, the glare value should be below 55, preferably 50.

Our solutions

Lighting solutions and services are provided for a wide range of maritime operations, all designed to ensure maximum safety and efficiency.

The lighting systems are engineered to withstand the harsh conditions of marine environments, delivering reliable and long-lasting performance. High-efficiency LED technology is used to reduce energy consumption and operating costs while enhancing visibility—crucial for nighttime activities and operations in low-visibility areas. Specialized installation and preventive maintenance services further ensure consistent performance and help minimize repair expenses.

All systems are developed to meet applicable standards and recommendations, with particular attention to environmental regulations, especially important in protected areas where many of these installations are located.
