Maximum productivity and sustainability

SAFETY AND PRODUCTIVITY

Competition is constant in all sectors of this market, leading to the need to fight for more and better customers and specialized employees. Companies are looking for ways to reduce costs, improve working conditions and optimize processes. A central starting point, often underestimated, is lighting.

With our company as a specialized partner at their side, industrial companies can quickly, reliably and easily exploit the potential of the different lighting solutions available for this area of application and to meet their many needs.

Production without limits

Production units come in many configurations, depending on the type of activity carried out and its size. In these units, the movement of people and machines is a constant. Lighting plays a central role in ensuring the safety of people and goods, as well as increasing productivity and reducing operating costs.

In a project of this nature, in addition to the quantity and uniformity of the light provided, the other factors to be taken into consideration are colour rendering, colour temperature, flicker and glare.

CCT - Correlated Colour Temperature (Tcp)

Using the right colour temperature helps to increase safety and productivity, key issues in areas of this kind. Because they contribute to greater visual acuity and higher levels of attention and concentration, fundamental aspects for safety in the workplace, the use of cooler colour temperatures should be favoured.

This is particularly important when there is permanent and intensive crossing of people and machines in the same spaces. In addition, this type of colour temperature contributes to better identification and more efficient product handling.

CRI - Colour Rendering Index (Ra)

Clear identification of the different colour codes in a production area, both in terms of signage and products, machines and other types of equipment, is absolutely crucial if work is to be carried out safely, quickly and efficiently, reducing waste and potential operating costs.

Not forgetting the issue of energy efficiency, the quality of lighting is therefore a determining factor, so the higher the CRI level, the more faithful the colours and the better the results.

UGR - Unified Glare Rating

UGR is another determining factor for a people-focused lighting solution. High levels of glare affect working capacity, as well as causing enormous visual discomfort and, consequently, malaise, and can ultimately lead to the appearance of pathologies that will inevitably end up affecting productivity.

For applications of this type and in the most demanding situations, this value should be lower than 19, and can be as low as 17 or even 15. The actual value to be considered depends on various factors, in particular the type of space and the activity carried out, and its application is regulated by the various applicable standards,

FF - Flickering

The flicker generated by artificial lighting systems contributes not only to people's discomfort but also to increased fatigue, with consequences for safety at work, health and profitability.

In addition, this flicker can lead to systematic failures in reading and monitoring systems, affecting systems and processes.

This situation is especially critical in conventional lighting systems, although it can also occur in newer, low-quality systems.
